Research experience and academic activity

When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation schedling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Schedling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

二、翻譯質(zhì)量有兩個(gè)基本標(biāo)準(zhǔn)：第一個(gè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)是符合原文的本來(lái)意思，就是要忠實(shí)原文，既不能隨意增加原文中沒(méi)有的意思，不能添枝加葉，也不能缺斤短兩，隨意刪減，既要透過(guò)字面意思揭示出作者的本意，又要避免東拉西扯，脫離正題。這也就是我們所說(shuō)的“信”;第二個(gè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)是符合中文的表達(dá)習(xí)慣，也就是所謂的“達(dá)”，句子要通順流暢，不能生造詞語(yǔ)和句子，也就是所謂的文筆。應(yīng)保證任何業(yè)內(nèi)人士都能夠看懂，不能象有的人翻出來(lái)后連自己都看不懂。在此次翻譯實(shí)習(xí)中我們也是領(lǐng)悟到了這點(diǎn)的重要性，大家翻譯完后集中在一起，大家互相閱讀，找出翻譯不通順或有錯(cuò)誤的地方，大家再一起研究、討論，最終完成整片文章的翻譯。

三、翻譯界通用的質(zhì)量標(biāo)準(zhǔn)是“信、達(dá)、雅”，對(duì)于技術(shù)、學(xué)術(shù)和商務(wù)資料來(lái)說(shuō)，只要求“信”和“達(dá)”不要求“雅”，所以對(duì)于我們此次的翻譯篇章，我們必須盡量做到嚴(yán)復(fù)先生提出的“信、達(dá)、雅”的要求。

四、直譯和意譯的辨證關(guān)系。有的句子只需直譯就很明白了，例如比較淺顯的句子，不需要變換語(yǔ)序就翻譯得很好。而有的句子由于語(yǔ)言表達(dá)習(xí)慣的差異性，在翻譯時(shí)需要對(duì)原來(lái)的語(yǔ)序進(jìn)行大幅度的調(diào)整，需要透過(guò)字面意思，用重新組織的漢語(yǔ)句子將原作者真正要表達(dá)的意思表述出來(lái)，這就是所謂的意譯。
